• Incase was loosing its market share on iPad related category as almost all competitors copied its well known Book Jacket products, and the customers wanted something new and better from Incase as its legacy products were being outdated.
• Design Incase’s next generation Bookjacket products with upgraded look & feel.
• Research materials and manufacturing application with overseas vendors.
Contribution
• Managed product design, project timeline and product development. Day to day interaction with Engineers, Marketing, Costing, Packaging and PD Management.
• Competitor research, material research, sketching, prototyping, 3D CAD construction, 3D rendering, design proposals, CMF specification and sample reviews.
Achievements
• Retained existing business opportunities and generated new sales for Incase brand.
• Expanded Bookjacket products into iPhone category.
• Took months after months with a soft good developer and engineers to come up with 'no-cut & sew' welded fabric construction to Book Jacket form factors.
• Sourced high quality vegetarian leather materials used on Athletic footwear products.
